Full course description
In this masterclass, Professor Sir Ashley Bloomfield draws on more than 25 years of senior leadership experience to offer a clear, practical approach to leadership. At its core is a simple but powerful idea: leadership is not defined by position or authority – "it is an invitation to collective action."
Through this lens, you will:
- Explore what leadership is, why it matters, and reflect on how great leaders inspire collective action to unite teams.
- Identify leadership across three essential domains and where your strengths lie.
- Discover six key leadership styles, your default approach, and the importance of adapting to the context, the task, and your team.
- Become a more effective leader through intentional behaviours and practice.
You will be guided to reflect on your own leadership context, identify where you can have the greatest impact, and translate insight into action. The masterclass combines concise frameworks with practical exercises, enabling you to test, refine, and embed new approaches in your day-to-day leadership.
This masterclass is designed for anyone looking to strengthen their leadership capability - whether you lead a team, influence others, or want to be more effective in your role. You will gain practical skills you can apply immediately, enabling you to improve your leadership in complex, dynamic environments.
