Robotic Surgery and Advanced Laparoscopy

Short course structure and topics covered:  

Participants will be exposed to the Da Vinci robotic platform and be given the opportunity to work on the console. There will also be instruction on techniques in advanced laparoscopy. Although this is primarily a hands-on, practical course, there is a didactic component focusing on robotic subspecialty operations (e.g. oesophagectomy/ colonic resection/ pancreatectomy).

The course is suited to senior surgical trainees, fellows and surgeons.
